About This Play/Drill

Coach Zeljko Obradovic runs this play for his lefty point guard Kostas Sloukas. A set play which makes defenders chase and react on DHO situations, followed by a middle pick and roll. A quick relocation of 3 and 4 to the corners is important, in order to create a double gap for the point guard to attack the basket and have all passing options available.

  • 2-1-2 set.

    1 passes to 4 & cuts to opposite low post,

    2 cuts to the basket.

  • 5 & 3 set turnout screens for 2 & 1,

    4 dribble hand-off to 2.

  • 2 dribble hand-off to 1,

    3 & 4 relocate to the corners.

  • mid pick n' roll,

    1 attacks the double gap.
