About This Play/Drill

The first look typically begins with the 4 and 5 man free-throw line extended and the 2 and 3 under the basket.  Each player can then pop out on their respective sides, using the down screens (pin downs) set by the bigs.

  • The 4 and 5 set pin downs for the 2 and 3. The 1 chooses which wing to enter the ball to and then he cuts to the opposite FT line extended.

  • In this case the 4 can look to post before setting a block to block screen for the 5. The 5 then sprints to an SPNR with the 2 and the 4 spaces to the duck in area.

  • Important to have proper spacing. The 3 in the corner, the 1 FT line extended and the 4 back to the baseline in the deep duck in area. The 5 will then roll (can pop) while the 2 attacks the nail.
