Basketball Play - Warriors Motion Weak

Warriors Motion Weak

Adam Spinella 01/21/2016

Motion Weak, or "Thru", is a common NBA early offense set that can be run at any level. It is effective at using player movement and ball movement, trying to establish the post first and foremost, and getting a shooter open off a down screen. It is one of the best and most standard screen-the-screener actions, and it also results in tremendous floor balance with many wrinkles possible. Gregg Popovich of the Spurs has long been utilizing this set of offense. Steve Kerr and the Warriors have added a wrinkle, turning the set into a Horns formation off the down screen. See More

Basketball Play - Oklahoma Buddy Hield Misdirection

Oklahoma Buddy Hield Misdirection

Wes Kosel 01/19/2016

1 dribbles left as 4 moves up the lane line. 4 fakes as if he is setting a ball-screen but instead screens for 3 (Hield) in the corner. 3 cuts to the opposite wing and 1 passes to 4 stepping out to the wing. Once 4 has the ball, he drives middle at 3's defender. 3 gets the hand-off and looks to shoot or drive into the lane. See More

Basketball Play - Oklahoma SLOB Circle Lob

Oklahoma SLOB Circle Lob

Wes Kosel 01/19/2016

2 starts with the ball out of bounds. 5, 1, and 3 cut around 4 in that order. 2 inbounds the ball to 5 who passes to 3 (Hield). Once Hield has the ball, 4 sets a ball-screen. 3 drives middle and 4 rolls to the basket. If x1 stays out on the shooter (like Kansas did), the lob to 4 may be open. See More
