Favorite Send to FastDrawThis is a play we used to win a game this year. It is best used against a 2-3 zone. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThe University of Virginia ran this to get a lob dunk versus a zone defense. The 2 slice cut through the lane and got the pass from 1 who quickly continued to reverse the ball to 3 on the left wing. The 3 then reverses course with the ball ultimately sending it back to the 1. The 4 and 5 on the baseline interchanged and set back screens on the bottom of the zone. The exchange made it tough for the zone to realize they were being screened and fight through. The 1 threw the ball up to 3 at the rim for the lob over the zone. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawIn this play, the ball is passed to the left wing and then a shuffle/stagger combination action takes place. If nothing is there, a second staggered screen is set for 1 on the left block cutting to the right wing. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis play starts close to a 1-4 high set but 1 pushes 2 to the corner as he dribbles to the right wing. 4 steps out to get the ball and then swings it to 3. 5 sets a shuffle screen for 1 and then 5 and 4 set a staggered screen for 2 in the corner. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis is an easy way for Latvia to get the ball in and go straight to their continous ball-screen action (see in the pdf link below). They throw the ball in to 5 and give it back to the point guard with a quick handoff. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawIn this horns set, 2 steps out to get the ball on the right wing and 3 sets a back-screen for 5 on the left block. In the video, you will see the great pass that 2 made to get the ball to 5 at the rim. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawGreat BLOB we used at VCU to get a layup looks for our best scorer. Often times leads to a guard/wing backscreen opportunity that may yield a switch or miscommunication. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis play, taken from a set we saw from Coach Hoiberg when he was at Iowa State, starts with the point guard pushing the wing into a back-screen for the trailing post. After setting the screen, 3 steps out for a ball-screen and looks to drive with a pick and roll/replace option. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawPin & Skip is a great action to use against sagging man defenders and zone defense. Use the Dr. Dish as the low defender and skip the ball to a wide open shooter. Plenty of variations to keep the drill fresh and train multiple actions. Can use with a small group or your whole team. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis set was put on the floor by Springfield College WBB during their practice on January 28, 2016 for an upcoming opponent. The single double action for the best shooter is a great way to allow players to read the defense and make the set less predictable. See More

Favorite Send to FastDrawDown by six with 90 seconds left in the National Championship game North Carolina ran a quick hit baseline out of bounds play to get their best player #5 Paige an open 3-point look in the corner. He hit the shot and in a blink of an eye it went back to a one possession game. What I like about this Baseline out of bounds play is that it has a few options to get a lay-up that went un-noticed because Paige ended up hitting the 3 in the corner. The first action is the back screen set for the point guard to cut right to the rim for a quick entry pass and score. The second you don’t really see in the video due to the ball not reversing. If the pass would have been made to the top of the key to the 3 man who had set the back screen for 1, then 1 would have set a cross screen for the 5 man who had just set the screen to free up Paige for the shot. This put’s the 5’s defender in a really tough spot having to show or help on Paige then get screened going back the opposite way to an entire side cleared out for a post iso. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThe number one set the Thunder run for Kevin Durant. Durant sets a high ballscreen out of stack and then dives to the rim. After he sets a screen for the man in the corner, and then receives a screen from the 5 man after he sets a ballscreen for the point guard. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawA great drill that simultaneously improves your team and individual players offensively and defensively is a series of 3 on 3 drills. Offensively, we work on dribble hand-offs, cuts, shooting, passing, catching, screens, and timing. Defensively, we work on communication and the different ways to defend screens. I also like this drill because it helps to reduce turnovers. See More
