Favorite Send to FastDrawThe Boston Celtics ran 3 end of game sideline out plays with 18 seconds left in a game vs Houston Rockets on 12/28/17. With a defensive foul and a few offensive fouls drawn, the Celtics were able to get 3 possessions late in the game. This is the 3rd SLOB they ran that 3.5 seconds. This is an excellent end of game set that gets a quick 2 when the defense may be set to better defend the 3. It's ideal for getting a quick 2 and immediately fouling. The defending team may be focused on a particular player or defending the 3 point shot. Favorite Send to FastDrawA overload action used against a 2-3 or 3-2 zone. TIPS: Have your best shooter be the inside cutter to occupy the attention of the zones wing defender. In the video clip below, we ran this play against a 3-2 zone to begin the quarter. Notice how our 5 seals the bottom of zone creating an open area for 4 to find for an easy layup. Favorite Send to FastDrawThis is one of the many "Diamond" sets from Henrik Dettmann of the Finnish National Team. 2, a shooter, sets the back screen for 4. As x2 helps on the back screen, 5 dribbles out of the post into a handoff for 2. Because x2 bumps 4 on his cut, he is trailing behind 2 out of position to contest. See More

Favorite Send to FastDrawEffective and simple BLOB play by Canada Coach Jay Triano. Use this play with players of all ages if you have a shooter that can release quickly. This play works off the basis that by force-curling the first screen, your shooter effectively uses the cutter's defender as a second moving screen, and because the offense is cutting to the basket, the inbounder's defender must shade basket side - leaving the passing lane open.
