Favorite Send to FastDrawThe point guard gives 4 the ball with a quick handoff. 4 then uses a ball screen from 5 and as he is dribbling left 3 makes a back cut to the rim. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThe point guard turns down a ball screen and passes to the screener. Once the big has it, both 1 and 4 set down screens allowing 5 to make the pass to the open shooter. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawOne of the most common actions we faced at the recent FIBA U17 World Championship was Horns into Flex sets. Almost every nation we faced had their version of this. The ones drawn up today are by the Spain team who we faced in the quarter finals. I liked thier three seperate reads that they would generate out of the action, each look depending on what they needed at each stage of the game. Horns is still the most commonly used action in youth international play, but this campaign compared to the last saw a lot more flex action out of it. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawIn this play, an Orlando action "dribble handoff into ball screen" opens up the ballhandler and a cross screen is set for the post player inside. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawIn this horns set, 4 pops out for a shot but uses the position of 5 to drive to the rim. 5 rolling to the basket gets "in the way" creating a rub type action when 4 drives. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawIn this play, they set a cross screen into a point handoff straight into a flare screen for the 4 man. The combo action can open up a driving lane for the guard or a flare shot for the 4. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis play is similar to the first one, but the point guard looks to drive immediately after taking the handoff. This is a great counter to use after first going to the flare option. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawI saw the Cavaliers run this play a couple of times in the second half. It starts with LeBron having the ball and a horns ball-screen into a flare-screen for the ball-screener. After setting the flare-screen, the big moves toward the ball to set a high ball-screen. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawIn this horns set play, the Cavaliers get LeBron the ball at the high post and run a staggered screen towards the left corner. If nothing is there or if Coach Lue wants LeBron to get a shot, he can work his man 1 on 1 at the high post. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawIngite this set with a horns double screen. 5 dives and the 4 pops. 4 attacks and makes the x1 and x3 play him and kicks to the 3 or 5. 5 has the option to score kick out to the 2. If 3 receives the pass he can shoot, make x5 come out, attack and/or pass to 2 in the corner. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawIn this horns action, the big closest to the ball pops out for a shot and the opposite big rolls to the rim. See More
Favorite Send to FastDraw1 passes to 4 at the high post then moves towards the corner to screen for 3. If the defense starts to cheat the action, 1 looks to slip to the rim for an easy layup. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawIn this play, Canada uses a staggered screen for the shooter in the corner. Instead of coming off of the dribble handoff, 3 pops out to the wing for a shot. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawCanada uses this horns set to get 3 running off of a staggered screen followed by a dribble handoff from the big. See More
