Basketball Play - Florida Gators - Pitch Back Spread PNR

Florida Gators - Pitch Back Spread PNR

Rory Hamilton 03/19/2021

This is a play Mike White and the Florida Gators ran numerous times during their first round game vs. Va Tech. The play uses a pitch back and back screen to force the defense to guard two actions before setting up a spread PNR. The play looks to get a lob at the rim or a throwback to the guard on the weak side for a 3pt shot. FastModel's biggest offer of the year for new subscribers! Basketball Play - Cincinnati Elevator to Stagger Play

Cincinnati Elevator to Stagger Play

David Taylor 03/24/2015

Cincinnati ran this play in the second round of the NCAA tournament against Purdue. It should be emphasized how open 1 will get off of 5's back screen, if 1 cuts hard and 5 looks for him - if players do a poor job setting up this action, it will make it that much harder to effectively get open off the elevator screen (defender will top-lock elevator cut). It is vitally important that after 4 helps set stagger screen with 5, that he seals aggressively... If 4 does a good job sealing, he will at the very least get a high-low catch from 5. See More

Basketball Play - University of Florida Motion

University of Florida Motion

Dana Beszczynski 11/26/2013

The Florida Gators do a very good job running their half court Ball Screen Motion offense. With good screening angles, strong basket cuts, and good spacing for kick-out passes, the Gators are able too breakdown defenses with their quickness on the perimeter and the strength of their inside game. Coach Donovan does a good job adjusting his sets during the course of the game giving his team the best chance to get high percentage shots from their half court offenses. See More

Basketball Play - Stagger - Backdoor

Stagger - Backdoor

Kyle Gilreath 02/22/2013

Thursday night in a heated PAC-12 battle California's Mike Montgomery drew up this quick hitting back door action to attack Oregon's overplaying defense. Cal's Junior Guard Allen Crabbe has had one heck of a stretch lately of offensive games so Oregon really started denying the ball; or at least making it hard for him to catch. California came out of a timeout last night to take advantage of such over-aggressive defense. This is a great action to run because you occupy all of your help with the stagger opposite. See More

Dana Beszczynski 11/29/2012

Coach Biedenbach has been at UNCA for over 17 years and brings a wealth of experience to the bench. UNCA ran this Motion set against North Carolina State last week and gave them fits for 40:00 before finally losing 82-80. They ran this set a number of times during the game and it has multiple options. See More
