Favorite Send to FastDrawOver the past few seasons, Duke's Mike Krzyzewski has had the luxury of playing long, athletic scorers at the 4 position. Players like Ingram, Tatum, and Bagely could all use their quickness against bigger defenders or use their size to post up smaller guards. This Horns set allows an athletic 4 to use quickness to beat x4 to the block from 2's screen. If the defense switches, the 4 can post up a smaller x2. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThe Minnesota Lynx ran this play designed to get 5 a post up opportunity at the rim. 1 followed her pass to 5 to receive a handoff. 1 turned the corner trying to drive as 5 cut to the rim. 4 popped up top to receive the pass from 1. x5 tried to front 5 in the post but 5 did a good job of walking her up the lane, which created space for the high low pass at the rim. Favorite Send to FastDrawSLOB series from Belgium at FIBA EuroBasket Women 2017. As 2 comes off of the ball-screen from 5, 4 lifts to the elbow for a catch from 2. As 4 catches the ball up top, 5 ducks in for a post-up. 4 then looks high-low inside to 5. See More
Favorite Send to FastDraw"Iverson Flop High Low" is a nice counter to the Iverson series. The Iverson cut is used to draw the help away from the baseline. The point guard dribbles opposite of the cut. The 4 pops, after setting the screen, and receives a pass from the point guard. The 5 ducks in, for a high/low pass. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThe Atlanta Hawks ran this play to get a great look for a lob after a time out in their playoff game against the Washington Wizards.. A common action in this set is 2 coming of the stagger screen for a shot. In this play the Hawks used that action as a decoy and then 3 slipped the screen to the short corner. This cleared the help defense and put their 5 in a one on one position in the post. 5 then fakes the duck in and spins off of his man to catch the lob pass for the dunk. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawWith 5:57 left in their Final Four matchup with Stanford, Coach Dawn Staley called this Horns set to get a quick high low for their 3 player who was being guarded by a smaller defender. South Carolina loves to run their high low action with A'Ja Wilson and Alaina Coates, but with Coates nursing an injury, they had to turn to an unconventional high low action to keep it rolling. Favorite Send to FastDrawA quick hitter with some pinch post like action that sets up high low in this set, and allows dribble handoff as a counter. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThe women's team from France uses this SLOB play to quickly get the ball inside. x4 has to help in defending the staggered screen, so 4 usually has no problem receiving the ball up top. The cuts from the wings help to draw attention from their defenders. This isolates the post players so they can make the high low pass. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawGreat horns set that is incredibly hard to defend, especially for X3 who has to defend a screen, DHO, and on ball screen. Play is designed to get 4/5 in a high low situation with shooters spacing the floor. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis Dr. Dish Shooting drill is designed for a complete post player workout. The low post can work on specific moves from the block while the high post can work on shots from the high post, dribble attack or high low passing. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawHere we take a look at the Kansas High Low Offense with a single screen option. This offense is run as a more complex alternative to the traditional motion offense. By moving one post to the top of the key, the alternating post has room to work inside the paint. Guards are constantly moving and cutting. This keeps the defense shuffling and the offense open for shots off the pass or dribble. - http://www.krossover.com/blog/2015/12/basketball-playbook-kansas-high-low-offense/ See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawGonzaga ran this set against Duke to utilize high-low/post players. They were successful in picking and popping and driving to the rim. It's important for timing that as soon as 4 sets first screen must sprint into high ball screen. See More
