"The Hill" is named after Greenhill School in Addison, Texas. At the 2017 TABC (Texas Association of Basketball Coaches) Clinic, there was a "Pass the Chalk" Event. "Iverson Down Flop" is a lob set, which is dependent on the ability of the passer to read the down screen. We use the term "FLOP," to replace FAKE. The play has an Iverson cut, followed by a "FLOP" or "FAKE" down screen. If X5 stays in the lane, the 2 should curl the down screen. This will result in a 2-on-1 at the rim. See More

"Box Special" is a lob set, which we ran regularly at Mid Michigan Community College. If the lob is not available, the back screener out cuts. There is the potential for a shot, or a high/low pass. If X4 helps, then the point guard will be open on the baseline screen. The multiple options to this set made it a great set to run early in games. See More

"Banger" is a lob play, which is designed specifically for a zone defense. The key is for the 5 to sell the flash to the middle, to lift X5 from the middle of the zone. The ball reversals must also be "on time" and "on target." See More

The San Antonio Spurs used this SLOB play with only 4.5 seconds left on the shot clock to get an easy layup. The Spurs used a common play with the elevator screen as a decoy adding a back screen to it. Kawhi Leonard (4) did a good job of keeping x4 on his top side as he set the elevator screen with 5. This allowed 5 to set a quick back screen and get 4 a wide open layup. See More

The Chicago Bulls ran this pick and roll play to take advantage of the Boston Celtics strategy of switching guard to guard ball screens. When 3 sets the ball screen he makes sure to get underneath x1 and pin his defender opening himself up for the lob. 1 quickly passes to 5 to improve the passing angle and 5 makes the lob pass to 3. The LA Clippers ran this lob play early in game 5 against the Utah Jazz. As 1 gets the dribble handoff from 5, 4 runs off of a double screen as a decoy clearing the defense to set up the lob. 2 sets a back screen for 5 putting the defense in a position where x2 has to help guard 5. 1 makes a lob pass to 5 at the rim. The Toronto Raptors ran this BLOB play to get a look at a corner 3 point shot for their 5. 3 curls around 4 looking for a layup. x4 has to help on the cut from 3, freeing up 4 to receive the entry pass. 4 passes to 2 then 1 & 4 set screens for 5 who is cutting to the corner for a 3 point shot. The Cleveland Cavs ran this play to get Lebron the ball in a 1 on 1 situation at the basket with 1.9 seconds left on the shot clock. 5, 4, and 2 cut hard to the perimeter bringing their defenders with them. This allowed 3 (Lebron) to cut to the basket with only his defender to beat. Though he missed the shot, the Cavs got a good shot in the paint in a late clock situation. See More

The Toronto Raptors ran this EOG BLOB action against the Milwaukee Bucks with 54.4 seconds in the 4th Raptors up 85-82 in Games 6. 2 brushes off of 4 and slips to opposite wing faking screen for 3. 3 cuts off of the stagger screen from 4 & 5. With X3 trailing behind 3, this forces X5 to step out to help causing X4 to make a choice between 4 and 5. If X4 helps on 5, 4 slips to basket. If X4 stays home, 5 pops out to 3-point line. See More
