Favorite Send to FastDrawCoach John Calipari is known for his Dribble Drive Offense. However, with the size and skill that he puts on the floor nigh in and night out he has the ability to take advantage of mismatches early in the possession. Often overlooked is his ability to create movement before the dribble drive concepts take place. Below is a nice 1-4 set that he used against Stony Brook that created multiple scoring options as well as opened up driving lanes. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawAlthough Jakob Poeltl has been a heavy focus of the Utes offense in the 2nd half of the season, Utah has balanced scoring with players like Bonam, Kuzma, and Loveridge, not to mention Taylor. Here is a double stagger action run out of the Fast Break looking to get a good look at the basket from the TOK. Option to hit the post man is also there and the shooter can look to curl if the defense trails the screen. Larry Krystowiak does a good job changing his sets and moving his players to where they can be most effective on the floor. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThe Utah Utes have been a sensation all year long and as Jakob Poeltl was selected PAC 12 Player of the Year, the interests in March Madness has peaked to optimum level. The Utes opened the NCAA Tournament against the Fresno State Bulldogs and here is a set run out of Transition designed to get Poeltl a touch in the paint. Head Coach Larry Krystowiak has really done an outstanding job bringing Poeltl along since his arrival in Utah. Poeltl is being projected as a 1st round pick in the upcoming NBA Draft and all eyes from Austria are squarely on the big man wondering if he will be the first Austrian born player to make it in the NBA. Favorite Send to FastDrawFresno State DHO Entry Action The Bulldogs make good use of various screens & reads to set-up the best scoring option Spacing is very important and Fresno State does a very good moving without the ball to keep the floor open for drives and post entry See More

Favorite Send to FastDrawCoach Jim Larranaga wants to play up-tempo and score in transition. This year they have concentrated more on getting the ball inside the paint more. Even though it has a modern day (4 Out) look it still has an old fashion (inside-out) approach to basketball. To execute this plan they use a variety of ball screen type action and roll/replace concepts. Having a very good point guard that can drive and shoot makes this tough to defend. See More

Favorite Send to FastDrawHere is a quick hitter that Buffalo used early in the first half against Miami that lead to the getting a wide open three. They did a great job out of the 1-4 set at creating space for quick penetration or the kick for three. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawKansas coach Bill Self runs a Flex action out of 1-4 low formation when the ball is under their own bucket. Help defense on the first Flex screen is rarely in good position when the ball is inbounded underneath, and the man guarding the inbounder can get too attached to the inbounder. It's a great way to get into Flex, especially with other inbound plays out of a 1-4 low package See More

Favorite Send to FastDrawUNCW ran Loop action several times against Duke in the 1st half, and this was one play I particularly liked. After two runs off the stagger and receives the ball, 5 cross screens 4 into a side pick and roll. The 4 slips early to the corner for a look at a 3pt shot. This puts a lot of pressure on x4 defensively, but in this particular case, Duke's Ingram just had so much length that he was able to closeout in time to prevent the 3pt shot. See More

Favorite Send to FastDrawOregon spreads the floor and has 5 set a flat ball-screen at the top of the key. 1 drives and looks to get to the rim or pass out to open shooters. See More
