Favorite Send to FastDrawIowa State using the point forward concept. Backscreen after the dribble handoff for the post up then screen the screener for potential three point shot. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThroughout the season and the tournament Notre Dame Fighting Irish ran this set as an entry into their motion offense (blocker mover). Very effective in creating player movement, ultimately looking to stretch the floor with their shooting ability and create closeout situations. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawQuick hitter off the jump ball. Ca be used when you're not sure if you can win the opening tip. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawIn this play, 5 and 4 start at the elbows and screen down for 3 and 2. 1 dribbles to the right wing then passes to 2. Once 2 has the ball, he swings the ball to 3 as 1 cuts across the lane off of a staggered ball-screen from 5 and 4. Once 1 has the ball, 4 screens for 2 and 5 screens for 4. If neither option is open, 4 sets a ball-screen for 1. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawStruggling to score against Golden State in Game 5, Dave Joerger called a timeout and setup a nice "Blind Pig" set to get an easy score. Knowing that Golden State was playing aggressive and overhelping on any screen that a guard cut off of, he had Gasol flash to the high post after Conley exited the screen and received the ball. After he caught the ball, Conley cut backdoor with his man on the high side, and Gasol hit him with a nice backdoor pass for a floater. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawAlong the lines of Randy Wittman, Kerr likes to run the Hammer set to get his players open, and in true Kerr style he runs a nice counter out of this set. Having Mo Speights (stretch 5) set the Hammer screen knowing his defender would be prone to sag off and help, and then opens up for a jump shot. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawIn the playoffs, alot of teams attack mismatches, and Golden State has been no different. This postseason when the first option off the backscreen is covered, he had Klay Thompson & Harrison Barnes both post up against weaker opponent guarding them. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawAnother quick hitter from the Wizards game in Game 4 to get Paul Pierce an easy layup. As the ball is brought up on the wing, Beal sets a "Rip" screen for Pierce and then comes off a double screen. Because of the shooting ability of Beal, he frees up Pierce by screening and then cutting off a double screen. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawWith John Wall going down with an injury, the Wizards turned to Bradley Beal to be a facilitator and scorer in his absence. Wittman setup a nice set to create movement and to get Beal coming off a dribble handoff and get an open look. First Beal passes to the wing and then cuts off a UCLA screen from the big at the elbow, and then sits down in the post. The guard on the wing passes to the elbow and sets a down screen for Beal who then receives a dribble handoff from the big and looks to attack. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawEven when the Rockets weren't punishing the Mavericks in round one with the Josh Smith-Dwight Howard pick and roll combination, they still found ways to take advantage of the defense and connect for lobs. This is a simple 1-4 high pick, with a throwback to Smith. He immediately goes into Side P/R action with James Harden, or DHO in this case. This is hard work for x4, Dirk, who shows hard on the DHO. Note the 1 and 3 switching spots on the weakside, which makes x1, JJ Barea, the low defender. As Harden hits Smith on the roll, x5 must pull over to stop the drive. JJ Barea is sitting on Howard's top leg like he is supposed to be, but that hardly matters. This is an easy Smith to Howard lob. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThe play starts in a 1-4 high with 2 and 3 exchanging wing positions. 1 passes to 3 then moves to the opposite side of the floor. 5 and 4 move over to screen for 3 on the wing. 4 looks to slip the screen and if that isn't open 5 sets a ball-screen for 3 on the wing. Favorite Send to FastDrawOption 1: 1 dribbles towards the top of the key as 2 cuts down towards the basket. If x2 jumps the screen, 2 pops back out to the wing for a shot. Option 2: x2 follows 2 under both screens from 4 and 5. 1 passes to 3 who passes to 2 for a shot. Option 3: If 2 isn't open on the baseline run, he cuts back to the right side of the floor cutting under 4 at the block. Option 4: If x2 jump this screen, 2 cuts to the left corner off of a screen from 5. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawRandy Wittman ran 3 great After Timeout Sideline out of Bounds plays late against the Atlanta Hawks. They had an opportunity to tie the game, and they scored late off of this same set with different options. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis 13-14 play from the Boston Celtics starts just like Horns 23. In this option, instead of setting a cross screen to the post for the 3 man, the 2 sets a rip screen for the 4 to a block post up. The 5 man then cleans up on 2 for pick the picker action. See More
