Favorite Send to FastDrawThe following reads are made in both the primary and secondary break. They can be the building blocks of an entire offensive system while developing the IQ and skill sets of your players. Circle: Corner player cuts to the rim as the wing player fades towards the corner for a shot. Drop: Wing player dives to the rim as the corner player lifts up to the wing for a shot. Down: Wing down screen towrads the corner where that player may fill up to the rim for a shot as well as curl or backdoor cut to the rim. The screener will either slip to the rim or pop out to the perimeter. Up: Corner lifts up to flare screen for the wing before slipping to the basket. The cutter may also curl to the rim. If the flare screener does not slip to the basket, they may sprint to the ball for a dribble handoff. See More

Staggered screen to inbound the ball, then "gut cut" (similar to a zipper cut but inside) from 1 through a down screen from 5. On the catch, 5 and 3 enter Spain PNR. Tough to guard with lots of movement and screening action. On the FMS Blog: The Evolution of Spain PNR in International Basketball See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawSlovenia Coach Radovan Trifunovic runs this Spain PNR action out of a similar set to Spurs Motion Weak. The play is based around the PG giving the ball up then getting it back after a reversal and a down screen, then running straight from DHo with 4 into Spain PNR. Favorite Send to FastDrawMisdirection BLOB from Russia Coach Sergey Bazarevich in the FIBA World Cup Qualifiers. Plays starts with 4 screening 3 to open space to receive a safety pass. Instead of receiving the safety, 4 cuts hard towards the inbounder. 2 (shooter) fakes to set a back screen for 4 and creates the misdirection. 2 then curls off a back screen from 5 for an open jump shot. Favorite Send to FastDrawNice set using Basketball Immersion's "Doornekamp Action" - a term for fake lifting for the safety pass and then cutting basket cutting, as 4 does in this set. Use a shooter as the back screener and clear the lane by placing 5 in the ball side corner and lifting the wing out of the weak side corner. This set works for all ages and abilities, and should result in an open shot or a switch to attack. More from Diccon: The Evolution of Spain PNR in International Basketball See More
