05/09/2013OKC ran this set midway through the third quarter of game 2. At this point Durant had only taken 9 shots. He had the ball in his hands a lot and was facilitating for his teamates. This was a great set to get him a touch with the ball out of his hands. After he hit this shot he got it rolling to finish out the quarter. The UCLA Ball Screen-Stagger is a common set with a lot of options, many of which are posted on FastModel. Reversing the ball back to a shooter coming off a pin down is a great option. See More

What made this play so effective is Ray Allen set the initial back screen on Lebron. Having the best shooter in NBA history set a screen really puts the defense in a bind because if you over-help the defense ends up late on the pin-down and more than likely give up an open 3-pointer. 05/05/2013Houston ran this sideline out of bounds play for a layup with 1.9 seconds left in the second quarter of their 105-102 game 2 loss to the Thunder 4/24/13. This play involves a flare screen, then a stagger. The play worked beautifully and if you save this for a special situation could win you a game. Timing is crucial, as Delfino was on the move as Harden was recieving the flare screen. Also make sure 5 turns to rescreen for the stagger. See More
