Basketball Play - Princeton Offense - Multi-Option Set: "Hawk"

Princeton Offense - Multi-Option Set: "Hawk"

Matt Hackenberg 12/12/2021

This is a long form play with multiple options from a Princeton alignment and a floppy action to feature a dynamic player. If the player can drive, shoot, post up, finish off the cuts or use a ball screen there are options to do so. We used the play to feature a shooter, but a post up player or a driver could also be used, just different options would need to be emphasized. Basketball Play - Florida Gators | Five-Out Offense - Reverse Option

Florida Gators | Five-Out Offense - Reverse Option

Randy Sherman 12/07/2021

Here are some basic options used by the Florida Gators in their Five-Out Offense. First the REVERSE option where the Gators pass side-top-side then screen away. This unlocks curls, rejects and pop backs and links to some Princeton Offense concepts. A few years ago, I diagrammed this idea of taking some Motion Strong concepts and linking them with Point Series from the Princeton Offense. You can check out that playbook here. See More

Basketball Play - Mount St Mary's - Horns Split PNR Lob

Mount St Mary's - Horns Split PNR Lob

Rory Hamilton 03/19/2021

Mount St Mary's ran this Horns split action several times in their game vs. Texas Southern. This play incorporates a nice side split/screening action with the guards and finishes with a side PNR. The side PNR coupled is difficult to defend due to the weaskside down screen taking place at the same time. This type of action is seen a lot in the Princeton offense. Basketball Play - Toronto Raptors - Chin PNR

Toronto Raptors - Chin PNR

Cooper Smither 04/10/2019

This action out of the Princeton Offense has been a staple of the Toronto Raptors' offense for several years. In fact, it is one of the most pervasive actions across the NBA. Nick Nurse has utilized it at the end of many close games, as well as in normal half court scenarios. Primarily called for Kawhi Leonard to attack the screen defender going downhill, it has also been called for Kyle Lowry and other primary ball handlers on the Raptors in the 2018-19 season. See More
