Turning motion weak into a ball screen is an excellent counter for teams that anticipate the cross-down action. It clears out an entire side of the court for the roll man to turn hard to the rim and look to finish.

1 hits 3, then shallow cuts to the opposite wing, pushing 2 thru. Ball swings thru the trailer and back to 1

2 sets a cross screen for 5, then clears to the opposite corner.

5 comes off the cross screen directly into a ball screen for 1 on the wing. 2 and 3 are spaced in the corner for weak-side shooting
