About This Play/Drill

This play run by the Duke Lady Blue Devils has a little bit of everything

The end of this play is designed to get Williams the ball in spot where she can use her speed and ball handling skills to penetrate on the open side

The set incoroporates the use of the ball screen, down screen, back screen in the lane, and the spacing is good setting up multiple options to score

1 (Gray - 12) passes to 2 (Jones - 2) coming off the pin down screen from 4 (Peters - 33)

3 (Liston - 32) pops out on the weak side wing

5 (Williams - 1) looks to seal her defender in the lane for a quick hit pass
1 (Gray - 12) receives a back screen from 5 (Williams - 1) in the lane and cuts hard to the basket for a possible pass

4 (Peters - 33) steps out to set a butt screen on 2 (Jones - 2) who drives the ball to the corner and passes back to 4 (Peters - 33)
3 (Liston - 32) sets a down screen on the weak side to occupy the defense for 1 (Gray - 12)

5 (Williams - 1) steps to the ball off the screen receiving the pass from 4 (Peters - 33) and penetrates to the open side
