This zone offense quick hitter is designed to create a quick overload situation putting the defense in a difficult position. It is hard for most zone defenses to have the bottom defender guard the opposite corner. This play requires that they do exactly that, otherwise give up an open 3 or 1 on 1postup on the block.

1 dribbles at x2 and makes x2 commit to defending 1.

3 cuts to the lane line extended to receive the pass from 1. As 3 receives the pass, 4 and 2 cut (at the same time) to the wing and corner. If x4 does not follow 2, someone will be open in this overload situation.
