About This Play/Drill

Florida Gulf Coast Guard Sherwood Brown at 6'4 200 pounds proved early in the NCAA Touranment that he has the ability to get in the post and use his strength to get to the basket

Here is a good Isolation set used by FGCU to get Brown in the post

  • Basketball Play - FGCU Eagles UCLA Post Iso
  • Basketball Play - FGCU Eagles UCLA Post Iso
  • Basketball Play - FGCU Eagles UCLA Post Iso

  • Comer (PG) passes to Brown (SG) lifting out of the corner to the lane line extended

     

    Fieler (PF) pops out to the wing

     

    McKnight (C) moves to the opposite block on the pass to Brown (SG)

  • Brown (SG) passes to Fieler (PF) on the wing

     

    McKnight (C) comes up to set the UCLA screen to get Brown (SG) who at 6'4 200 pounds can use his muscle inside as seen in previous rounds to score

     

    At the same time McKnight (C) is moving to set the screen for Brown (SG) - Comer (PG) sets a pin down screen for Thompson (SF) on the weak side to distract the weak side help

  • McKnight (C) opens to the ball and receives a pass for the FT line jumper in this situation
