The Spurs ran this ATO at the end of the first half, of a pivotal Game 5, in the 2017 NBA Playoffs. The play resulted in an easy layup for Kawhi Leonard. It was a great design by Popovich. The counter to their elevator set is colored by the BLUE lines. It was a back screen by the 5, which got Kawhi the easy two points.
2 fakes the baseline screen for 1
1 cuts towards the baseline screen, but cuts off the elevator
4 and 5 show an elevator screen
2 cuts to the opposite corner
5 back screens 4 (blue)
4 cuts to the block (blue)
3 pass to 4 (blue)
