Michigan ran this triangle set often during NCAA Tournament, particularly early in games. The motion creates a lot of movement, and ends with the ball in your best player's hands. The ball screen typically involved Stauskas (2) and Morgan (5). Because of the attention Stauskas gets, it often resulted in an open lane for Morgan to slip, because of the spacing it is difficult for the defense to leave good shooters.
1 initiates by passing to the win and making a triangle cut to the corner. Weakside block (5) fills to the point.
The ball is reversed to the opposite wing, the strongside post backscreens 3 as the ball leaves 5's hands. If that cut is poorly defended it is an easy layup.
5 then screens the screener, filling 2 to the point as 3 clears the block to the corner.
5 screens the ball right away (2), again if this is your best player the attention he will draw on the ball screen will result in an easy slip for your post player.
