During Dwane Casey's tenure with the Toronto Raptors, the team has routinely run this Sideline out of Bounds play, but have also added depth to it over the years. Additionally, this set is pervasive throughout the entire NBA and is also utilized by teams such as the LA Lakers.
While the first option is to post up the inbounder after using a slice cut on the weak side block, the second option quickly morphs into a series of staggered screens that can open up space for perimeter shooters and induce hard close outs.
2 seals and receives entry pass from 1.
2 looks to score in post up/isolation.
If 2 can't establish post position, play progresses to next option.
If 2 does not receive entry pass into post, 1 waits for 3 to come off staggered screen and passes to them on wing.
3 can look for shot or hold until next option.
If 3 does not shoot, waits for 2 to leave post position and utilize staggered screen.
