About This Play/Drill

This was the opening play run by Slovenia against Greece yesterday in the European Championship. This is a nice set play that has multiple scoring options.

Penetration to the open side by your 3 man

3 pt shot for the PG

Post entry pass for the 5

  • Basketball Play - Double Screen Action
  • Basketball Play - Double Screen Action
  • Basketball Play - Double Screen Action

  • 1 passes to the trailer 4 and moves to set a down screen for 3 who comes off the screen for the pass from 4 (Nachbar - 10)

     

    1 then runs off a shoulder-to-shoulder double screen set by 5 & 2.

     

    4 looks to hit 1 coming off the screen for the open shot

  • In this scenario the ball was passes to 3 who looked to attack the basket off penetration

  • If 3 does not take the open lane penetration and 1 is not open for the shot

     

    2 moves to screen-the-screener in the lane giving 5 the possibility for a post entry pass from 3
