About This Play/Drill

Slovenia's focal point of their offense during this year's European Championship was Goran Dragic who plays in the NBA for the Phoenix Suns.

This is a simple box set and with good reading by the 4 man before 1 cuts into the lane, he attacks the open side drawing the foul.

A good isolation set for a stronger player who can post-up and take advantage of a good match-up.

1 (G. Dragic - 11) makes the entry pass to 2 (Z. Dragic - 12) cutting out to the wing - after the pass, 1 (G. Dragic - 11) cuts to the ball side post area

3 (Joksimovic - 7) moves to the ball side on the wing entry pass
2 (Z. Dragic - 12) passes to 3 (Joksimovic - 7) who pops to the top from the baseline rubbing his man into 5 (Begic - 15) at the elbow

4 (Nachbar - 10) pops out and receives the pass from 3 (Joksimovic - 7)

5 (Begic - 15) sets a pin down screen for 1 (G- Dragic - 11) who cuts over the screen looking for a quick entry pass

4 (Nachbar - 10) did a good job reading the defense in this situation and penetrated to the basket drawing the foul
