This is a set that allows floppy action. This was used by the Maryland Terrapins in the 2019 NCAA Tournament.
Set up with in a diamond formation with the best shooter under the rim and a secondary shooter/attacker at the nail. The shooter chooses a screen to use and the other wing backs up and fills the opposite side. This is an alternative floppy action.
After making a pass to the open wing player, the point guard cuts through to under the rim, the opposite wing fills the top and catches.
From here, we're right back into conventional floppy action where the point guard can choose the single or double screen.
On the catch, the ballhandler can feed the post or call for a ballscreen.
Another wild weekend of hoops means more #XsOs to study!
