Minnesota ran this BLOB action under Head Coach Dan Monson. This screen-the-screener action should result in an open look for 4, ideally your best scorer.
This screen the screener set, out of a box formation . the guards at the top on the elbows and with your best score inside scorer in front of the ball. 1 take the ball out 2 and 3 on the elbows the 5 opposite low block, and 4 on the low block ball side.
The 3 immediately pops out and becomes the safety valve. The 4 will set a back screen for the 2 who will cut to the block ball side and sprint to the corner.
The 5 will screen for the 4 and will seal in case of a switch. The 4 sprint to the low block opposite of ball after 2 clears out, and the 5 will seal and come back hard to the ball side. The 4 is the primary look, look for 5 coming back to the ball for the second option.
Check out a recap of last night's #FastModelChat on Press Defense hosted by Coach @tonywmiller. Tons of great info!!
