About This Play/Drill

The USC Trojans ran this play early in their first round game against Drake to get an open shot off a stagger screen. This play is especially effective because it is designed to get the ball to the third side, which shifts the defense and makes closing out on the ball more difficult. As the ball is reversed, 2 follows the ball of the screen from 5. This is a decoy screen because the real action is when the ball is reversed again and 2 comes off the stagger screen from 4 & 5.
