Florida Gators | Five-Out Offense - Reverse Option - FastModel Sports

About This Play/Drill

Here are some basic options used by the Florida Gators in their Five-Out Offense. First the REVERSE option where the Gators pass side-top-side then screen away. This unlocks curls, rejects and pop backs and links to some Princeton Offense concepts.

  • There are some Motion Strong concepts in Florida's Five-Out offense.

     

    REVERSE - when they pass side to top to side...

  • ...the player at the point (usually the center) screens away from the pass.

     

    The recipient of the pass (P1) may accept, curl or reject (shown) the screen. The passer may play either to cutter or the screener depending on who is open.

  • Here P1 curls the screen

  • Florida gets into some Princeton Offense concepts when they play to the screener in the away screen.

  • Point Series

    The passer may go OVER and screen in the corner. This is reminiscent over POINT OVER from the Princeton Offense.

  • Point Series

    The passer may screen AWAY. This is reminiscent over POINT AWAY from the Princeton Offense.
