The Orlando Magic ran this action as a baseline out of bounds set during the 2024-25 regular season. Quick action to get the smaller defender guarding the 1 having to help on the flex screen. If 1 is a shooter it makes it that much more difficult on the defense.
- The 5 pins their defender to get the lob pass over the top.
- As the 5 swings the ball to the 3, the 1 steps in to set the flex screen for the 4 to get a layup or post up.
- The 5 sets the down screen to get the 1 open if there is no pass into the 4.
