In this 1-4 high option, the Kentucky Wildcats enter the play with a pass to 4 at the high post. Once 4 has the ball, the point guard cuts through the lane to the opposite block. 5 rubs off of 1's cut looking to get a hi/lo pass from 4. If that option isn't open, the ball is reversed to 1 on the left wing. With the lane open, 5 sets a back-screen for 4 who cuts to the basket. If that's not open, 3 screen for 5 who looks to get a shot at the elbow. If Kentucky still doesn't have a shot, 5 will dribbles towards the right wing looking to pass to 3 flaring to the right wing. Once 3 has the ball 5 cuts off of a screen from 2 for the give and go action.
1 passes to 4 stepping out from the elbow.
1 then cuts into the lane and to the opposite block.
5 rubs off of the cut from 1 to the ball-side block.
If neither cut option is open, 4 passes to 3.
3 passes to 1.
5 sets a screen for 4 who cuts to the basket.
1 looks to make the pass to 4 for a lay-up.
If 4 isn't open, 3 screens for 5 who curls around the screen for a shot.
If 5 gets the ball with no shot, he dribbles right as 2 screens in for 3.
5 passes to 3 on the wing.
2 then screens for 5 who cuts to the basket.
3 passes to 5.
