About This Play/Drill

Gregg Marshall has taken the Wichita State Shockers Men's Basketball program to new heights since his arrival 9 years ago.  In those 9 years, he has compiled a record of 204-76 including 95-15 over the last 3 years which saw the Shockers play in a Final 4.

This is a nicely designed play to get the mutli versatile Ron Baker either a post-up action or a chance to utitlize his tremendous shooting ability coming off a double stagger screen.

  • Shuffle Cut Double Stagger Action

     

    1 (#23 Fred van Fleet PG) enters the ball to 4 (#31 Ron Baker) on the wing and cuts strong side corner

     

    3 (#15 Anton Grady SF) pops out behind the TOK and receives the ball reversal pass

  • Shuffle Cut Double Stagger Action

     

    On the ball reversal pass to the TOK:

     

    4 (#31 Ron Baker PF) runs off a "shuffle cut" screen set by 5 (#0 Rashard Kelly C) who moves up the lane line on the ball reversal pass to get a good angle for the screen on x4

     

    3 (#3 Evan Wessel SG) receives the pass from the TOK

  • Shuffle Cut Double Stagger Action

     

    4 (#31 Ron Baker PF) looks to post-up if possible off the shuffle cut

     

    5 (#0 Rashard Kelly C) & 3 (#15 Anton Grady SF) move to set a double stagger screen for 1 (#23 Fred van Fleet PG) coming out of the corner to the TOK

  • Shuffle Cut Double Stagger Action

     

    4 (#31 Ron Baker PF) turns and runs off a second double stagger action to the wing looking to catch & shoot off the pass from 1 (#23 Fred van Fleet PG)
