03/21/2015Robert Morris runs a nice set to get action into a backdoor opportunity, and resulting in an isolation for one of their better players to create. See More

Favorite Send to FastDrawRobert Morris needed a basket against duke midway through the first half. They run Horns into a Pindown DHO/Curl option except this time after 1 comes back for a DHO he catches his man overplaying and cuts backdoor for a layup. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawOklahoma State Cowboys Backscreen continuity offense Because the scouting report is that Phil Forte is a great shooter and cannot be left, Travis Ford use him as a screener and he backscreens for Le'Bryan Nash. There is flex and screen-the-screener action in the offense. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawOpening set from Belmont to begin the second half. Horns set to get a pindown screen for your best shooter to come off in space. This time Virginia had 2 defenders go with the shooter and left an open big man for a layup. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawBelmont has incredible Baseline Out of Bounds plays. In this set they get a quick look for their best 3 point shooter to have the option to come off of 2 screens for a 3. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawNorthern Iowa used this box set to quiet a Wyoming run. The set has two primary looks: 5 on the post up coming off the downscreen into the post and 2 with a catch and shoot opportunity coming off the STS action. 2 is a better screening target if he sets a great backscreen. If he sets a good backscreen for 5 and causes the hedge from his defender and give 4 a good screening angle. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawNorthern Iowa has been running some great sets in the game against Wyoming. In this play, UNI gets to an overload out of a high stack set. The point guard dribbles left as 4 cuts down into the low post. The initial scoring look is to try to hit 4 on the cut or posting up. If nothing is there, the ball is reversed and 4 sets a back-screen for 3 on the wing. 5 screens the screener (4), and 2 has two options to pass to for a shot. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawWest Virginia continued to stretch their 1st half lead out with the BLOB set making a wide open 3 from the ball side wing. I have seen this play used by multiple teams with various wrinkles. In this set the 3 seals or opens up to the rim. In most cases, one of the bigs 4/5 will dive toward the rim after the initial double screen. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawMichigan State ran this side out of bounds play in their NCAA opener against Georgia. The Spartans used this action to get an open 3pt look for the 1, and the flare screen for the 2 is an excellent option, as well. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawHere are 2 options from a set that Tom Izzo has been running for years. They used this set successfully several times against Georgia in their NCAA matchup. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawNorthern Iowa set to get post up for Tuttle (5) Key to the play: the interchange on 4's catch coming off downscreen. 5 basket cuts moving his defender ballside. As a result, when 2 catches X5 is vulnerable to the seal. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis is another option that Georgia ran out of their Flex set against Michigan State in the NCAA Tournament. Very early in the game, the Bulldogs caught MSU sleeping and hit 2 on the Flex screen for an easy score. Later they ran the play again and brought 2 off of a double down screen after MSU defended the Flex cut much better. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawNew Mexico State is staying in the game by being patient on offense and waiting for open shots. In this box set play, the guards start at the elbows with 2 screening down for 4. 5 and 3 then screen the screener with a double screen on the opposite block. Now the point guard has the option to hit 2 for a shot on the wing or pass to 4 at the pinch post. In the game, 4 got the ball and looked to drive to the basket after 1 cut through the lane. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawNew Mexico State used this play early in the first half against Kansas. The play resulted with a foul on Kansas, but the Aggies are showing quality actions to get open post-ups and shots. The play starts with the point guard dribbling to the right as if he is going to use the ball-screen from 4. Instead, 4 slips the screen to the opposite block. 1 uses the ball-screen from 5 and looks for 4 posting up inside. If 4 isn't open, 1 looks to pass to 2 cutting up off of a down screen from 5. Favorite Send to FastDrawGeorgetown ran this 4 around 1 set throughout their Round 2 matchup with Eastern Washington. The Hoyas used several different variations of the set utilizing the similar setup but unpredictable result. The action pictured is the base set. Dribble handoffs, double screens, flare screens, and back screens were all used out of this based set. Georgetown uses a 4 out 1 in look almost every possession and can run this set with interchangeable perimeter players. See More
