Favorite Send to FastDrawA late game set ran by the Miami Heat in the NBA Finals to free up #34 Ray Allen. He gets a screen from the 4 man, and then runs off a flare from the 5 looking for his jumper. The Spurs took away the flare allowing the pass to go to #1 Chris Bosh. On his catch then #34 Ray Allen went back door for a lay-up. See More
Favorite Send to FastDraw#4 Danny Green did a great job of moving around on the perimeter to give the Miami Heat fits in the NBA Finals. In this specific set he went from one corner to the other as #9 Tony Parker was dribbling off the stagger screen. His man was so worried about the rolling bigs he didn't even know where Green went. Led to a wide open 3-pointer. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThe Spurs ran this against the Miami Heat in the NBA Finals to create seperation on #21 Tim Duncan's side ball screen. #4 Danny Green while Duncan was trailing the play set his man up and set a screen for Duncan so he had a great screening angle on #9 Tony Parker. Everyone spaced the floor and Duncan & Parker played two man game. See More

Favorite Send to FastDrawThis is a drill that I love to run throughout the season to help enforce my defensive philosophy when it comes to helping on baseline penetration. My defensive philosophy is to keep the ball out of the middle of the floor. WIth that said, when the ball is in the corner I teach my players to direct the ball handler to the baseline halfway in between the 3-point line and lane line. Furthermore, the help needs to come early enough outside the lane and cut off the basket and the baseline. This is a 5 out drill because that is the style of offense we currently run. If you are guarding a team in the post, I NEVER help off the post because it opens up easy lay-ups. That is why is it vital for your help defenders to be aware and in the correct positions early. This is also a great drill that teaches your players how to scramble in defensive situations after cutting off the baseline. Make sure the coach passes to different players througout the drill to enforce the level of urgency and communication in such scrambles. Have your players move the ball around the perimeter and run the offense several times through before passing to the coach. See More

Favorite Send to FastDrawThis is one of the set plays run by John Beilein in the Semi-Final Game against Syracuse. The Wolverines made an adjustment to their Zone Offense looking to attack the gaps by spreading the zone out. This is a very good play for an athletic 4 man who can put the ball on the floor. Favorite Send to FastDrawThis is the play the Miami Heat ran last night to Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals versus the Indiana Pacers. The sports world and social media are a buzz about this play mostly because of Hibbert sitting out and George over playing. But let's give credit to Eric Spoelstra. He ran this same exact play at the end of the 4th quarter to get Ray Allen a game winning 3-pointer that came up short. With Hibbert out of the game this play really spread out the floor to open up the driving lane for Lebron to make the game winning lay-up. See More

Favorite Send to FastDrawThe 1 will pick a side. The ball side guard will clear to the opposite wing. Ball side post will set a "Texas" screen. The backside guard MUST time his screen right when he screens for the screener. The 1 will come off his screen and drag the defense while looking for the 5 to come clear. If he is open he will throw the lob. If the lob is not open the 1 will reverse the ball to the 2 and cut ball side corner. The 4 will fill the high post looking for the pass from 2. On the pass to the 4 the 5 will look to flip or seal his man. If we cannot get the Hi Lo action then the 4 will reverse the ball to the 3 and set a stagger with the 2 for the 1. We are now into a Hi Lo base motion. See More
