Favorite Send to FastDrawUNC use stretch big man Brady Manek to ghost a ball screen out of a horns set. He'll space towards the wing for an uncontested 3 or throw it down to 2 for a look from the corner. See More

Favorite Send to FastDrawIn this diagram and embedded video we look at a set play looking to use a ball screen veer for either a three-point shot, or a slip off the stagger. It's important to read both, and let the defense decide which action you will pursue. Favorite Send to FastDrawIn this diagram and embedded video we look at a set play for three-point shot. This set requires great timing. I like it for a short clock attempt to find a three. I also think it sets up for the misdirection backdoor set on the back side of the play off of a reverse pivot by the ball handler, although we don't see that in this clip below. Favorite Send to FastDrawIn this diagram and embedded video we look at a set play for an elevater screen. The set starts in a 1-2-2 alignment and uses pin downs to get the wing entry, which is a DHO. The action starts flowing the other way while the gate screen is set up behind the play for the misdirection. Favorite Send to FastDrawIn this diagram and embedded video we look at a set play out of a horns alignment. This is a pretty sexy set play with a lot going on. I do think this is more substance than style, and I believe some of the initial options in the set may present opportunities for good shots before the stagger screen. Favorite Send to FastDrawIn this diagram and embedded video we look at a set play out of a funky alignment. I like this set a lot. I don't exactly know why, and it seems like a lot of the other screen the screener actions I've seen but I like this one. The initial down screens should help the set run more fluidly against pressure defense. Favorite Send to FastDrawIn this diagram and embedded video we look at a set play out of a horns alignment. The ball handler uses the horns ball screens and reads the strong side backdoor, or the shooter coming off the double veer on the back side. Favorite Send to FastDrawIn this diagram and embedded video we look at a set play out of the Euro Ball Screen Offense. I like that the action replicates the continuity element of Euro Ball Screen, and then breaks off into the set. It's a great surprise to keep well-prepared opponents on their toes as they anticipate one thing, and then another thing happens. Favorite Send to FastDrawIn this diagram and embedded video we look at a set play out of a princeton alignment. I think this set is good to generate a open look for a shooter a couple times a game. The more the set is used, the less likely it is to trick the defense. Favorite Send to FastDrawIn this diagram and embedded video we look at misdirection backdoor set that is best used as an ATO. I love the unassuming nature of the play. Favorite Send to FastDrawIn this diagram and video clip we see a series of plays from the push zip Iverson movement series. The featured action in the video is the blind pig backdoor. This is a clever action, and with good timing it can be very tough to defend.
