Favorite Send to FastDrawToday's "Play of the Day" was run by the Los Angeles Lakers in last year's playoffs (typically out of a timeout). The 4 gets a pin down at a spot on the floor that ensures he has space to operate. This time it is without a post touch, but often times they will get this action after the ball is entered to the post and the man who passed it screens the opposite big in their post. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawAnother new set the Cavaliers have ran in the Chicago Bulls series has been a set that Doc Rivers ran with Rajon Rondo in Boston and now with Chris Paul in Los Angeles. With Tyronn Lue being an assistant and a main cog in the Cavs system this year, he added this set for Kyrie to get on the move and receive a dribble handoff and attack. The set starts with a pass to the wing and cuts through towards the rim. As Kyrie cuts through the ball is reversed to the top of the key and Kyrie cuts off a double screen from 2 & 4 into a dribble handoff from 5. Kyrie looks to attack initially and if he is stopped, 5 steps up and sets a spread ballscreen for 1. See More

Favorite Send to FastDrawAgainst the San Diego State Aztecs in the Round of 32, Duke used this motion action play to get the ball to Okafor posting up on the left block. With all of the attention on Okafor, Winslow dives down the lane and gets an easy dunk off of a pass from Okafor. Duke did a great job in this game getting SDSU to chase them around the floor. Favorite Send to FastDrawThis play was used against San Diego State to get an open 3-point shot at the top of the key. The play starts with a high post entry and a fake dribble hand-off action to the left side. On the right side, a down-screen is set for 2 who cuts up off of the screen to get the hand-off from 4. In doing this, a staggered screen is essentially set for 2 leaving him open at the top of the key for a shot. See More

Favorite Send to FastDraw1 dribbles from left to right towards the elbow as 3 runs across the floor to screen for 4. If x4 stays out, 4 goes underneath the screen looking for the pass from 1 at the basket. If x4 moves up to stop 1 on the penetration, 3 puts his heels to the baseline to screen x4. 1 makes the pass over the top to 4 cutting to the rim. See More

Favorite Send to FastDrawIn this BLOB play, the team lines up on the lane line on the ball-side. 5, 2, and 4 screen in on 3's defender allowing 3 to cut to the corner for a shot. If 3 isn't open, 5 screens for 2 who cuts to the weak-side block and 4 to the ball-side block. See More

Favorite Send to FastDrawTied at 59-59 with under two minutes to go in a Non-Conference game between Cleveland State/San Francsico. The first diagram & Video is the CSU 5 Man Iso. #15 Anton Grady is their cornerstone player and in a big situation they love to clear out the side and let him either score or distribute. In this clip he kicks it out to the corner for a huge 3. San Francsico then took the ball out and pushed it up the floor right into a side elevator screen for #32 Derksen who is their best scoring wing. Their action was so successful because of how smoothly they got into it and executed after giving up a big 3. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawPG comes off 4. 4 twists and rescreens for PG and then quickly rolls almost leaving before the screen is set. 5 cleans it up to set a double ballscreen. PG attacks the ballscreen. After setting the 2nd ballscreen 5 rolls hard down the middle of the lane. 4 fills behind looking for a shot. See More

Favorite Send to FastDrawXavier runs a nice Horns Set with weakside action to occupy the defense to get a Wing PNR setup. The look to the flare action is key, and then turning to execute a DHO and Pick & Roll. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawAfter the 16-minute media timeout in the 2nd half, Albany was down 8, while coming up empty on the previous three possessions. They forced Oklahoma into a tough outside shot and after getting the defensive rebound; Coach Brown called a Floppy Triple set. As you can tell in the video, the play was designed to get Peter Hooley (#12) a shot. The defense was prepared to take away Hooley in the play, which left Ray Sanders (#1) wide-open coming off the screen. This is a great play to run in an After Time Out situation. You can give your two best shooters looks coming off screens. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThe indiana Pacers have run this zipper into a pick & roll action throughout the 2012 NBA Playoffs. The last few games versus the Miami Heat it has become a staple of their offense and has been one of their go-to plays to get Hibbert the ball rolling to the rim. See More

Favorite Send to FastDrawThis play was used by Duke with 15:31 left in the 2nd half against Gonzaga when Duke was down by 2 points. The play uses a pick-the-picker action to get Winslow the ball on the wing for an open shot. In the game, Winslow made a good shot fake and drove to the basket for a lay-up. The most important part of this play was a good screen set by Winslow forcing his man to help on the initial cut. Once he pops to the wing, Winslow's defender is stuck on the other side of Plumlee. Favorite Send to FastDrawDuke went to this play multiple times in the game. Although simple, the play utilizes the strength of Allen's penetration skills. Allen gets the ball on the left wing and drives from left to right to the rim for a lay-up. Wisconsin did not collapse on the penetration allowing Allen to make the 1 on 1 play at the basket.
