This play is a counter to a shuffle stagger action with 1 drifting out to the top of the key instead of making a shuffle cut. Once 1 has the ball, a staggered screen is set for 3 cutting to the wing for a shot.

1 passes to 5 who passes to 2.

1 cuts towards 4 as if making a shuffle cut but instead drifts out off of a screen from 5.
2 passes to 1.

3 runs from the left corner to the right wing off of a staggered screen from 4 and 5.
