About This Play/Drill

Stanford runs this variation of the Triangle Offense. They use the "pinch post" to flare screen for the guard. He then executes a dribble handoff which can turn into a backdoor on the overplay or two-man action.

  • 1 makes the corner cut

    4 moves to the "pinch post" to set flare screen for 2

  • 3 has option of passing to 2 coming off flare screen, but most often passes to 4 separating from flare screen

  • After passing 3 down screens for 1

    4 runs dribble handoff with 2

  • 2 has option of cutting backdoor on overplay
