About This Play/Drill

Part 5 of 5 in our series of FastDraw 1-2-2 Zone Sets uses a double pin screen to start the action, then provides reads based on how the defense covers it.

  • Basketball Play - Double Pin vs 1-2-2
  • Basketball Play - Double Pin vs 1-2-2
  • Basketball Play - Double Pin vs 1-2-2
  • Basketball Play - Double Pin vs 1-2-2
  • 1 dribbles right as 4 and 5 pin in for 2. 3 pipe cuts to high post. 1 can skip to 2 or reverse to 2 through 3 in high post.
     

  • IF X4 TAKES 2 - 4 steps to short corner pulling x5 across the lane. 5 dives to seal x3 dropping down. 2 hits 5 in post.
     

  • Note: If 4 is open right away, 2 can hit 4 in the short conrer and 4 can hit 5 on the seal.
     

  • IF X2 TAKES 2 - 4 steps to short corner to occupy x4. 5 dives to seal x5 in paint. 1 pins down on x3 dropping down as 3 flares to wing. 2 can hit 5 sealing x5 or skip to 3.
