Zone Lob - "Michigan State"

I always wanted to have a set or two like this installed for when teams flipped to zone on us on the fly. I love getting a quick, easy two when we see zone. Curl Lob SLOB
12/15/2021In this diagram and video clip we see a SLOB set to try to steak a quick bucket. With a solid screen by 1 against a defense that gets through screens, this can work. I like that 1 is the player setting the back screen, loosening up the defense so that they can go catch the ball if the lob isn't there. The lob pass is critical, so you want a trusted passer to making the decision to throw the lob or not. Video clip below. Horns Set Play: "Circle"
12/12/2021This is a set play out of a horns alignment we use with multiple options. First, we use the alignment to let a playmaker attack and read the defense with the horns ball screen, roll/pop action. We want to play off the ball handler, and if we can't create a shot off the initial attack, look to play 4 around 1 with our big to get it inside. Then we look at a couple simple set options that play off of the base action. Video clip below. Princeton Offense - Multi-Option Set: "Hawk"
12/12/2021This is a long form play with multiple options from a Princeton alignment and a floppy action to feature a dynamic player. If the player can drive, shoot, post up, finish off the cuts or use a ball screen there are options to do so. We used the play to feature a shooter, but a post up player or a driver could also be used, just different options would need to be emphasized.
