Favorite Send to FastDrawDavid Blatt been around the Israeli and Euroleague basketball circuit. Including coaching for Maccabi Tel Aviv (they de bezt, alweyz de bezt) and the Russian National Team (Kirilenko, Mozgov, Shved). He coached Anthony Parker back into the NBA. Names don't exactly get the point across, but let it be known, that he has coached winning teams, almost exclusively. And thats the point of the game. From what I can gather Blatt's teams run a lot through a horns offense. Which, if you don't know, puts two guys- one on either- high post (witch's nipple), two guys in opposite corner/wings and starts with the ball handler at the top of the key. It is not a triangle offense, but it does revolve around cerebral players creating space with passing, smart cutting and good footwork. Certainly a proprietor of the Triangle has respect for this, a verySpurs-y set of offensive goals. Everybody needs touches to make this kitten purr. Everyone needs to fill the open spaces that relate to their skill set, and everyone must become a threat when they have the ball. Favorite Send to FastDrawThis play creates an open three for a good shooting post player. The screen-the-screener action occupies 4's defender, allowing 2 to set a good screen on him to free 4. 4 must be ready to catch and shoot quickly. Secondary action is a quick 2-5 cross screen for a post feed. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis play is an option in CHIN and called when teams sag in from the weakside to prevent the backdoor cut. The play gives an easy shot for the 3 against weakside sagging defense. The play is like CHIN with the cut on the pass to the wing by the 3 off of backscreen by 5. 5 and 4 double down on X1 for the '3' point shot at the top of the key for 1. This is a very effective option and can be run in the middle of CHIN if you see sagging defense. 4 cuts like normal and 5 fills elbow like normal then double down. REMEMBER: Backdoor cut v. Pressure Screen Down v. Sag GO is a quick call when you have executed CHIN a few times and want to change it up or to attack a particular matchup or foul situation. Call GO and the guard will pass fake to the forward. The pass fake signals to the 5 to come set a ball screen. The court is spaced for a drive/kick action with the 1 or a layup. 4 attacks off of 5 high pick and gets to the rim. If 1 defender helps then kickout for 3 point shot by 1. CHIN action and after flare by top player, the 5 will follow the ball and ball screen for the wing. The wing must attack middle on the drive. 2 can finish the drive to the rim or kickout to 1 or 4 for the 3 point shot. See More

Favorite Send to FastDrawThe Louisville Cardinals do a good job using the flare screen in this set to get 2 an open look at the 3 pt shot. The set is run from a 2-3 set-up and uses good movement and screens to make the defense make decisions. Rick Pitino is excellent at designing plays to get his best players in their best spots to score. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawBobby Hurley rof Arizona State ran this Shuffle / DBL Stagger Action in their game against UCLA. A play with lots of movement, post-up option and PNR possibilities. The Sun Devils have quick guards who can drive & kick reading the defenses to set-up the best scoring options. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis 1-4 Low set provides a perfect action for the weak side Hammer Screen and 3 pt shot if the Defense collapses off the SPNR action. With Dukes perimeter shooting abilities, the defense must really choose who & how they guard this action. See More
