Favorite Send to FastDrawThroughout Kyle Lowry's tenure with the Toronto Raptors, this baseline out of bounds play has been used as a set-action to get him a 3-pointer in rhythm going to his preferred left. During a mid-seasoon slump in 2018-19, Nick Nurse dialled up "3" BLOB several times over the course of a few games to great success. After toggling from the inbounder and continuing into the continuous staggered screens, Lowry eventually will shoot a catch-and-shoot jumper. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawDuring Nick Nurse's first year as the Toronto Raptors head coach, he entirely revamped its out-of-bounds playbook. A perfect encapsulation of that is one of the Raptors' most used baseline out of bounds sets - "C" BLOB. This mover-blocker-esque action does not have any superfluous movement and each motion has a subsequent option and read that follows. See More

Favorite Send to FastDrawThis BLOB has become our go to call against any team that likes to play zone in baseline out of bounds situations. In the video clip below we ran this play against a 2-3 zone, we were down two with 0:05 seconds left and were able to convert a "And 1" on the play to win the game. Although this play only has one scoring option, in the 2017-18 season we scored 12 out of 15 times when running this set! See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawBoston Celtics baseline out of bounds set. This play is called "50" and includes several options out of an elbow stagger look. All spots are interchangeable. Boston frequently uses this set because of the multiple options it provides, and the defense determines how the the set is run offensively. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawHere is a creative way Zalgiris uses Spain PNR in a baseline out of bounds situation. Play begins with a stagger into a zipper for the inbounder who catches at top of the key. Spain action ensues from here (frame 3) with 1 setting the back screen and popping, Having 3 and 4 cut through to opposite corners during this primary action offers some nice misdirection to distort the defense. Favorite Send to FastDrawHere is a great baseline out of bounds to utilize against a switching man to man defense. Box Alignment with best shooter at the weak side elbow. 3 comes off staggered screen from 4 and 5 for a potential shot. 2 upscreens for 5 and 4 can slip the last screen if teams switch. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawEvery team needs a Deep Corner Baseline Out of Bounds play. It is a situation that may come up seldomly but coaches should have a play they can go to in this situation. The Philadelphia 76ers' coach Brett Brown was prepared with this gem of a play on opening night agains the Oklahoma City Thunder. See More

Favorite Send to FastDrawDown by six with 90 seconds left in the National Championship game North Carolina ran a quick hit baseline out of bounds play to get their best player #5 Paige an open 3-point look in the corner. He hit the shot and in a blink of an eye it went back to a one possession game. What I like about this Baseline out of bounds play is that it has a few options to get a lay-up that went un-noticed because Paige ended up hitting the 3 in the corner. The first action is the back screen set for the point guard to cut right to the rim for a quick entry pass and score. The second you don’t really see in the video due to the ball not reversing. If the pass would have been made to the top of the key to the 3 man who had set the back screen for 1, then 1 would have set a cross screen for the 5 man who had just set the screen to free up Paige for the shot. This put’s the 5’s defender in a really tough spot having to show or help on Paige then get screened going back the opposite way to an entire side cleared out for a post iso. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawBLOB, or baseline out of bounds, plays are wonderful opportunities for a backdoor action because the defense gets sucked close to their man as they deny a pass towards the rim. Georgetown's John Thompson drew up this great set to get a backdoor out of a baseline inbound situation, sucking the entire defense away from the rim in order to do so. Thompson isolates the man guarding the inbounder as well, turning him into the help defender on a backdoor. As many coaches know and communicate to their players, the offensive player inbounding the ball is always dangerous once the ball gets inbounded. By paying too close attention to the inbounder, a defensive team will have no help at the rim on a backdoor cut. See More
