Basketball Play - Milwaukee Bucks - Push Corner

Milwaukee Bucks - Push Corner

Austin Anderson 06/26/2018

Milwaukee had one of the most athletic lineups in the NBA last season. The Bucks were successful when they were able to play through Giannis Antetokounmpo and Khris Middleton. Giannis is extremely gifted with size and athleticism, which gives him the ability to finish easily in and around the paint. Middleton was exceptional in post ups, moving off screens, and improved his pick/roll play. Milwaukee's corner offense provides multiple options in a set. Push Corner has a back screen to post option, and a side ball screen/ weak side pin option. At anytime, Eric Bledsoe and Malcolm Brogdon can slip the corner cut for a basket if teams anticipate the play call. See More

Basketball Play - Houston Rockets - Early Drag Options

Houston Rockets - Early Drag Options

Austin Anderson 05/28/2018

Houston is at its best when it is able to control tempo and score quickly. Every NBA team utilizes the drag ball screen in early offense. Harden, Paul and Gordon are very good at getting into the paint and creating. Harden is very good at creating contact and finding Capela on lobs. Paul is especially good at waiting to the very last moment to make the right play. Early Drags create penetration, kickout 3's and lob opportunities. This action sticks to what Houston wants to do.... 3PA and layups. See More

Basketball Play - Golden State Warriors - Elbow Stagger Option

Golden State Warriors - Elbow Stagger Option

Austin Anderson 05/28/2018

What makes Golden State so scary is its ability to play people in different spots through out its entire offense. In this action the Warriors can plug in different players/lineups and not miss a beat. Offense becomes easy when players can play multiple spots on the floor. This play sets up catch/shoot, sneak drives, cutting baskets, slips and quick punch opportunities. At any time during this set, if teams fall asleep, Curry will be open on a quick handback option on the strong side. Durant is great attacking off the elbow catch for a quick iso. There will be slip opportunities off the stagger, because Thompson, Durant and Curry are all very good at losing their defender off screens. Golden State loves allowing Green to be a playmaker. Basketball Play - Boston Celtics - Wedge Step Up Ball Screen

Boston Celtics - Wedge Step Up Ball Screen

Austin Anderson 05/23/2018

In the NBA, wedge ball screens and step up screens are used frequently. A "wedge" is a simple action designed to create separation running into the ball screen. This action keeps the defense moving and uses both sides of the court. Once the step up occurs, there will be drive/kick opportunities, pick/roll, and pick/pop opportunities. Boston perimeter players are very patient when attacking off ball screens and look to make the right play. FMS Blog: Boston Celtics - Spread Ball Screen Offense See More

Golden State Warriors - Corner Split Option

Austin Anderson 05/16/2018

This is a corner split option action. The call for this action is "C". With Green being a playmaker, Golden State has success playing through him and allowing Curry, Durant, and Thompson to play off each other. This action creates a strong side split game with a weak side single. NBA Finals Preview: Golden State Warriors Top Plays from Golden State's Championship Run See More
