Favorite Send to FastDrawThe blur screen is an effective way to create a double gap in the defense. The pass and cut movement can create a temporary window for the basketball to attack into the heart of the defense. During the Shaka Smart years at Virginia Commenwealth, he used the blur screen as a secondary transition action. Once the ball is swung from slot to slot, the trailer then passes to the wing followed by a cut to ball side corner. This cutting action now opens a temporary double gap for the basketball to attack the elbow. See video below! Further studying: Creating with Blur Screens See More

Favorite Send to FastDrawA simple yet effective play that coach Giannis Sfairopoulos of Olympiacos run during the 2017-18 Euroleague season. The misdirection stagger screen and the screen-the-screener action force defenders to commit, so the flare screen set by the center at the end of the play is difficult to disrupt without switching a big onto the opponent's point guard. Favorite Send to FastDrawThis is another counter to the double stagger action. The back cut by the 3, makes it look like a set up for a double stagger. As the 1 arrives, the 4 flips to screen-the-screener. The 1, who is usually Toliver, pops for an open 3. The 4 slips to the rim. On the FMS Blog: WNBA Finals - Top Plays Breakdown See More
