About Dymetrius Ware

Dymetrius Ware is going into his 38th years of coaching, As the Head Varsity Boys Basketball Coach at Lutheran Westland High School ,In Westland,Mi. Coach Ware has coached at multiple levels, and is passionate about using the game of basketball to teach life lessons off the court just as much as on it. He also enjoys helping young coaches improve their coaching skills and team management skills.

Dymetrius has been a Head Coach at the NIAA and JUCO, levels, The University of Michigan-Dearborn and Oakland Community College in Farmington Hills, Mi. Coach Ware served as the third assistant coach for CBA's Great Lake Storms in the team's final season. He also serves as a coaching mentor with Basketball Coaches Association Of Michigan, Which he is an active member of.

1-4 High Attack

During my time at Lutheran Westland High School, I ran a lot of 1-4 action. Our best shooter was our 3 and we used 1-4 High and low to free him. This 1-4 high set allowed for us give our 3 multiple options. After the 3 gets the DHO, options are to dive to the basket or kick the ball to the 4 in the ball side corner or the 1 or 2, depending on where the help comes from. See More
