Favorite Send to FastDrawDuke used this play at the beginning of the game against Wisconsin on Monday night. The play starts with Okafor and Winslow at the elbows and Tyus Jones dribbling off of a ball-screen from Winslow to the right wing. Okafor gets a screen at the elbow and cuts to the low post. The first option to score is to pass to Okafor inside. If Okafor isn't open, Matt Jones cuts to the top of the key off of a down-screen from Winslow. Winslow turns to set a ball-screen creating a pick & pop action as Jones drives left. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawOut of their secondary break, Michigan State runs rip screen to high ball screen to isolate their big on the block-primary look. Important that 5 immediately sets mid screen after setting rip screen. Michigan State runs variations of this play depending on their match-ups. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis play was used eary in the game against Robert Morris and resulted in a foul down low as Okafor went up for a shot off of the hi/lo pass. Coach K does a great job creating an overload that forces Robert Morris to spread out and leave 1 defender on Okafor under the basket. Okafor seals the middle man in the zone and looks for the pass over the top. In the game, x4 could have helped on the lob pass but was stuck anticipating that the ball would be pass to Tyus Jones for a 3-point shot. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawDuke used this play against Gonzaga to open the game and get the ball inside to Okafor. Once Okafor got the ball, two Zags double-teamed leaving Winslow wide open on the wing for a 3-point shot. The play starts with Tyus Jones giving a "thumbs down" signal and a down-screen set for 4 in the corner. 4 curls the screen and sets a cross-screen for Okafor. On the screen, Okafor is open on the block for a pass inside. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawGreat set from Michigan State with multiple isolation opportunities. 3 in the pinch post, 4 in short corner, 5 deep seal. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawCoach K called this play in the second half of the game against Robert Morris. The play sends the point guard running across the baseline to the opposite corner against the zone. Both post players inside look for opportunities to seal their defenders. Once the ball gets inside to 4, he looks to shoot, pass out for a 3-point shot, or pass down to 5 cutting to the basket. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis play was used in the first half against Utah to get the ball to Winslow posting up. The play starts with an entry pass to Okafor at the high post. In the game, the Blue Devils turn the ball over. Nonetheless, this was a good idea by Coach K to get the ball to Winslow down low. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawHere are two hi/lo options out of the horns set from Miami. Miami is playing well in the NIT with a chance to advance to the finals with a win over Temple. In these options, the Hurricanes use a horns staggered screen with the point guard dribbling from left to right. In the first option, 4 rolls and 5 sets a pin down for 3 in the corner. Once 3 gets the ball he looks to pass inside to 5 or to 4 flashing high post for a hi/lo look. In the second option, 4 sets a flare-screen for 5 before cutting to the block. If 5 isn't open on the screen, he sets a screen for 3 who gets the ball at the top of the key. 3 again looks at 5 or to 4 flashing high. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis set provide several opportunites to get your 5 man a post touch on each block. If you have a point-guard that is comfortable posting up, this set is a great opportunity to get him an early post touch on the block. After the initial UCLA screen by the 5 man, the point-guard tries to get a post touch, but if he can't, he immediately goes into another UCLA screen for the 5 to get him back on the block. If the 5 isn't open on the block, the ball gets reversed to the point guard. The 4 man immediately sets a ball screen for the point guard to help get the ball reversed to the other side of the floor. The 3 will sprint across the lane and set a cross-screen for the 5 man and another post up opportunity for him on the opposite block. The 4 man will finish the play with a down screen for the 3 to the top of the key. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawHere is a nice 1-4 Low set that gives your the inital option to have your point or lead guard take his man off the bounce. As that is playing out the other players create some movement to have defense looking to defend cutters. You can get a nice Hi-Lo out of your post game or catch and shoot option for your wings. Favorite Send to FastDrawThroughout the Cincinnati/Purdue game, Cincinnati ran a match-up 2-3 zone. Purdue looked to utilize their size inside by sealing the middle man in the zone. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawWichita State ran this play against Indiana for their first basket in the NCAA tournament. Ron Baker ripped the ball middle and drove left for the finish, but he also had Darius Carter posting up on the block as an option. If you are looking for a postup, having VanVleet screen for Carter would create a mismatch if they switch the screen. VanVleet could then cut off a screen from Cotton to the wing to still create a lane for Baker to rip and drive left. 23 - Fred VanVleet 31 - Ron Baker 3 - Evan Wessel 12 - Darius Carter 32 - Tekele Cotton See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawNorthern Iowa set to get post up for Tuttle (5) Key to the play: the interchange on 4's catch coming off downscreen. 5 basket cuts moving his defender ballside. As a result, when 2 catches X5 is vulnerable to the seal. See More
