Favorite Send to FastDrawThis set puts your point guard in a position to make a play off the catch. The quick rub screen forces X1 to have to help on 5 to prevent the layup, which then makes him late recovering to 1 on the ballscreen. If you are able to get a layup for the 5 man the first time you run it, that will set up the ballscreen even more for the second time you go to it. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis set provides that opportunity because as 1 is catching the ball, the 5 man is setting a ballscreen immediately on X1, giving 1 a chance to attack in a straight line drive right off the catch. Also, this can be an effective play against a team that will blitz/hard hedge the side ballscreen, as 2 can hit 1 quickly off the screen and 1 will have plenty of time to throw the lob to 4 rolling to the basket before the defense recovers. Favorite Send to FastDrawA very well designed late game SLOB play by the Thunder. For coaches looking to run this set, I believe it is important to make sure your best ball-handler/playmaker is coming off the double ballscreen, as this will make the man guarding the second screener to show/hedge out because he has to respect the ball-handler on the drive/shot and this rotation could make him late getting back to his own man. This is also effective if the defense is switching, because now the man coming off the fade screen has a mismatch. The Thunder do a great job here clearing out the side so that if Durant does not have a shot, he has plenty of room to take his man. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThe OKC Thunder ran this play late in the fourth quarter against the Dallas Mavericks in Game 2. Russell Westbrook ended up getting wide open catch and shoot from Kevin Durant off pin-down. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThe Indiana Hoosiers used this play during the 2016 NCAA Tournament. The setup and decoy actions at the beginning gave the defense enough distractions to cover, which made it easy for Kevin "Yogi" Ferrell to attack over a stagger ball screen, with both bigs seperating out of it. Multiple options can show up after. A clear path drive for the point guard, a kick back to the 4 for a possible shot or high low, a dish or lob to the 5 rolling to the rim. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawVillanova zone set designed to force 3 players to guard 4 offensive players. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawLaboral Kutxa ran this set against Real Madrid in their Euroleague round of 16 game Friday night. Starts with a "modified" Horns entry with a wing DHO into a SPNR The shuffle screen is set as a "decoy" for the double stagger action which takes place after the SPNR As the shooter comes off the double, with no shot available, the ball side Post steps out to Pick "n" Pop into a 3 pt shot See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawHere is a play used by Oklahoma against Oregon. The Sooners run Spangler up to set a high ball screen but slip him out to the right wing. Then they run a wing ball screen for Buddy Hield. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawOklahoma used high ball screens against Oregon's zone and man defenses. In this play, the Sooners roll the post into the lane and keep the other big in the short corner. As Spangler's defender steps up, he is wide open for a layup. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawOklahoma used this high pick and roll play against Oregon's zone. They put the Ducks at a disadvantage when both defenders come out to the ballhandler. This leaves Spangler wide open in the lane. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawOU ran this play against Oregon in the Elite 8 to get an open layup. Although the Sooners missed the layup, the weave action against a switching defense opened up a lane for Oklahoma to drive. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawLincoln Memorial used this play early in the Division II National Championship game against Augustana (SD). The Railsplitters like to get ball screen actions and do a nice job setting up the action with a four-man weave. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawVillanova used this play to get a pick and roll action going left to right. After the guard curls around the down screen, the 4 pops out and gets the ball. Then 4 dribbles off of 5's ball screen. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawNotre Dame uses a high ball screen with a roll/replace action to get teams to defend ball-screen. They also have options to kick out to shooters if the ballhandler can get into the defense on the ball screen. See More
