Favorite Send to FastDrawHere is an excellent sideline out of bounds I've seen coach Sherri Coale run over the years. I've added a few of my own wrinkles to it but its a great play with multiple options. Initial set up is a your best shooter at the FT line and best finishing guard around the slot area. Both post players are positioned on the blocks. 3 player times cut and waits for 5 to flash for basketball similar to the blind pig action in the flex offense. The point guard passes to the post player flashing to the elbow and the post immediately looks to hit the 3 man on a backdoor (vs. aggressive defense). If the backdoor is not available, the point guard receives a dribble handoff (DHO) from the post player. After receiving the DHO, the point guard stretches the play out while the 4 man flashes to the block for a potential post pass. The 5 man will then receive a back screen from the shooter for a potential lob pass. 2 shapes up after backscreen and looks for a shot or immediately looks to dribble over and post the mismatch. If the guard cannot get the ball to the post player due to being fronted, then the weakside big flashes to catch and immediately throw a high-low pass into the post. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawSLOB Action from PAOK that includes a back screen into a flare screen ("Carolina" action). Then flows into the spread pick and roll if there is no initial scoring opportunity presented from the "Carolina" action. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThe Minnesota Timberwolves Summer League team ran this ATO action against the Golden State Warriors in the play-in round of the 2017 Las Vegas NBA Summer League. 2 runs an Iverson cut to the left wing as misdirection before 5 rubs off of 4 to go to screen for 1. 4 clears to the right corner to give this action a spread look. Favorite Send to FastDrawThe Dallas Mavericks were tied with 4.1 seconds left in the 2017 Orlando NBA Summer League championship game and unable to advance the ball to the front court with a timeout. They ran this play to get 1 the ball on the run to get a look at a shot. The Pistons defended this by not playing x4 on the ball and keeping him at halfcourt to shadow the ball handler. This slowed down 1, but he was still able to get off a shot as time expired. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThe Detroit Pistons ran this play down 3 with 8.8 seconds left in the championship game of the 2017 Orlando NBA Summer League. 2 set the first screen for 4, who is a capable 3 point shooter. 4 screened 5 and then 5 screened for 2, getting him an open look up top. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawSLOB action by the San Antonio Spurs to create the single-side tag. 4 has option of attacking to the basket, passing to 5 rolling to the basket or kickout to 1 lifting behind 5's roll. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThe Spurs ran this ATO at the end of the first half, of a pivotal Game 5, in the 2017 NBA Playoffs. The play resulted in an easy layup for Kawhi Leonard. It was a great design by Popovich. The counter to their elevator set is colored by the BLUE lines. It was a back screen by the 5, which got Kawhi the easy two points. See More

Favorite Send to FastDrawThe Toronto Raptors ran this corner OOB play to get their best player a look off of a pindown screen. All 4 players start spread out near halfcourt then cut to the basket. 5 gets a screen from 1 to receive the entry pass. On the catch, 2 sets a pindown screen for 3. 5 then passes to the 3 for a shot. The Raptors weren't able to get a shot from 3 but this play forced a double team and they were able to get an open look for 5. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawWith the LA Clippers trailing 88-83 with 1:14 in the 4th quarter, they ran this ATO/EOG SLOB "Decoy Hammer" action against the Utah Jazz in Game 5. 2 (JJ Redick) sets a flare screen for 3 (Austin Rivers). This is decoy action as the defense has to make a decision whether to switch or not. In this case, the Jazz decide not to switch and this slight indecisveness (they switched on the 1/3 fake ball-screen action which might have caused some confusion) gave Redick space to run into a shot off of the comeback screen for 5. Favorite Send to FastDrawBrad Stevens is earning a tremendous reputation as a great ATO coach. In tonight's game (4/6/17), he ran this SLOB on back-to-back ATOs. It is a simple, but effective, screen the screener action. See More

Favorite Send to FastDrawPrinceton used this late game sideline out of bounds set, to get a wide up 3. If it looks familiar, it is because Brad Stevens has run this numerous times with the Boston Celtics. This is Stevens "Winner" play, but Princeton ran it from a box formation. See More
