Favorite Send to FastDrawLouisville ran this set in the AAC Championship game vs Connecticut. The first option out of transition is to get a quick down screen to get Luke Hancock a quick 3pt shot. If that is not open, Louisville will then look for a flare screen for their point guard. The last screen is for Russ Smith to come off a down screen on the opposite side of the court. If Smith does not have a play he will look for Montrezl Harrell in the post. This set gives Louisville options on the offensive end and allows their playmakers freedom on offense. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawFlorida Gulf Coast was the darling of last year's NCAA Tournament and former Coach Andy Enfield landed a job at USC based on last year's success. Joe Dooley took over "Dunk City" and has the Eagles once again in contention for an automatic bid. After a long career on the sidelines next to Bill Self at Kansas, Dooley brought his philosophy to FGCU and this year the Eagles at the top of the Atlantic Sun Conference with a 14-4 record and a share of the Conference Title. This set play utitlizes the SPNR to get the 2 man a chance to use his speed to penetrate to the open side. If the defense helps, the Eagles have their shooters spotting up ready for the kick-out pass and also capable big man McKnight in position for a dump off pass or weak side rebound. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawNC State ran this quick hitter in their opening round win in the NCAA Tournament. In this set, NC State is looking to get TJ Warren a touch in the post. If this option is not open, the guard then comes off an elevator screen looking for a 3pt shot. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawSimple but effective play out of the 1-4 high set. 1, 3, and 4 are decoys in this play to isolate 2 and 5. The objective is for 2 to use the on ball screen to drive deep in the paint to score or bounce to 5 rolling to the hoop. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis drill is an alternative to the 11 man break, or continuous 3 on 2 fastbreak. This is a 2 on 1 with a defender trailing at all times. This makes offense attack in a game like situation. The drill can get confusing but the more the players run it, the more they get used to it. It is good for teams that are low on numbers, and a good conditioner. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis is one of my favorite ATO sets that I have seen all year. The Hawks run this to get shots opened up for Korver as his man helps on the back screen. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThe Oregon Ducks ran this set play directly from a SLOB situation. They use the baseline cut to set-up the roll out of the ball screen as the weak side help is eliminated. If 5 is not open, 3 is coming off the baseline double stagger screen looking to catch & shoot on the wing. Dana Altman has a variety of offensive sets and this is sure to yield great results when installed and run with good timing. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawOption out of the Carolina break involving a high post feed and a big/little wing back screen. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis BLOB set was run by the Uni of New Haven MBB in their game vs. Franklin Pierce on 1-18-14. The loop action serves as a way to set a legal moving screen to free up the second cutter. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis box set incorporates a elevator screen for a 3pt look. Matt Mahar, Head Men's Basketball Coach at Assumption College, showed this set at the Aspire 2 Inspire clinic in Pawtucket, RI on 8-24-13. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawHere is an ATO set that the Hawks have run after Korver hits a couple shots. They act as if they are going to pin down for him to pop and get a shot, but the cutter rejects the screen and flares the screener for a shot. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis is a 10 player shooting drill with 3 basketballs and 1 basket. There are 8 total spots and shoot from each spot for 1 minute, for 8 minutes total. 4 midrange spots and 4 3 point shots. This is a good shooting drill for a team with 20 players in the gym. You can add other shots such as off the dribble. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThe Connecticut women ran this set play out of their Chin alignment in their game vs. Louisville on 3-3-14. They were able to get Breanna Stewart on the weakside for a post-up after she set a backflare screen. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawKevin Ollie may be a young Coach, but his tactical skills are outstanding. Bringing a wealth of experience with him from his playing days both at UCONN and in the NBA, the Huskies sets are well designed with lots of movement and screening actions. This 1-4 set play has three scoring options and is predicated on the ability of the players to "read" the defense. Kevin Ollie is buidling the Huskies back into a contender again after the masterful job Jim Calhoun did in his tenure at the Connecticut school. See More
