Favorite Send to FastDrawThis play is from the 2010-2011 Houston Rockets season. This play is best for teams with a passing big. You are running this play for your best shooter or scorer. Your best passing big will have to make the read to pass to your 2 man for a shot or dribble at him for a hand off. See More
Favorite Send to FastDraw4-4 Half court. Can play with 0, 1, 2, 3, or 4 dribbles. Play game to 7. Have 4 teams of 4 playing - 2 teams on each half court. With the special rules in place there will be a scrum under the basket for the ball. This will test players ability to rebound and their toughness. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis is an offensive set that Bill Self's Kansas Jayhawks ran in the 2012 National Championship game. I love this play because of the numerous scoring options tha are very simple to teach your players to run. To see EVERY play Kansas ran in the 2012 Final Four you can do so in my eBook Championship Execution! See More

Favorite Send to FastDrawI love catching old (if you consider last season old) games on NBAtv and trying to find some new plays to share with my readers. Last night I watched a few minutes of a New York Knicks Playoff game. I loved this action because it involved a big screening a guard into a pick & roll taking screen the screener a step further. Favorite Send to FastDrawThis is a play from the Dallas Mavericks' playbook. Obviously they've got a 4 that can shoot it, but personnel can be adjusted based on who you want getting the basketball. In any case, the action pulls the bigs away from the basket and clears out the weak side of the floor, giving your 4 the option to shoot or drive to the rim. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawSlovenia's focal point of their offense during this year's European Championship was Goran Dragic who plays in the NBA for the Phoenix Suns. This is a simple box set and with good reading by the 4 man before 1 cuts into the lane, he attacks the open side drawing the foul. A good isolation set for a stronger player who can post-up and take advantage of a good match-up. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis ballscreen set was run last season by the Hawks with great success. Al Horford set great screens for Josh Smith at the elbows, and with Smith's rare ability to drive and dish from the forward position, the alley oop was so tough to stop. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis is a variation of a secondary break play that was run by Mike D'Antoni when he was the head coach of the Phoenix Suns. For more, check out my website www.coachpeelbasketball.com, sign up for a membership, and get your first 30 days free. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawFinland ran a lot of good sets during the European Championship and here is a Horns set with multiple scoring options. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawHenrik Dettman was serving his second stint as Team Finland Head Coach and his team beat Greece, Russia and Turkey at this year's European Championship in Slovenia. Finland ran this to isolate their naturalized American Lee in the post and with a play ending backscreen, if the defense looks to double, the man is open on the weak side for a wide open lay-up See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawMike Woodson drew up this SLOB Need 3 action when he was the head coach of the Atlanta Hawks. While it is possible for 1 to be open on the first set of screens, do to help 3 is more than likely the option that will be open for a catch & shoot. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis is a set play we used with success in our first season. It has multiple scoring options and a lot of movement. If the timing is good, the defense has to make split second decisions which can lead to easy points either on the paint or on the perimeter. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis play came from the 2005 Houston Rockets when they ran this play towards the end of a Playoff game. Screen the screener is a very common action out of bounds but the way this play was ran I do not see very often. I also love the pick & roll action right after the catch. See More
