Here is a secondary offensive set ran by the Kentucky Wildcats during their 2012 NCAA Tournament Championship run.
As 1 is entering the ball into the operating area, 2 sets a back screen for 4. After screening, 2 shapes up at the top of the key. 5 also begins to walk up the lane to the elbow area.
1st Option: 1 passes to 4 coming off the back screen from 2.
1 passes to 2 at the top of the key. 2 reverses to 5 on the wing, who has v-cut to get open. 3 cuts into the lane to set a screen for 4.
2nd Option: 5 passes into 4 for the lay-up/dunk/post move, coming off the lane cross screen from 3.
If 4 does not immediately catch and score, we have two options.
3 sets a back screen for 5.
3rd Option: 4 passes to 5 cutting off the back screen from 3.
If 3 is a good shooter, another option is for 5 to down screen 3 to the wing for a shot. After screening for 3, 5 will then slip the screen and roll to the rim.
4th Option: 4 passes out to 3 for the shot, coming off the down screen from 5.
