The UCLA screen allows the ball to be reversed cleanly. The slice screen is little on big, so the defense will have a hard time switching it. I like these style of plays because you just need to catch the defense slipping on one of the actions to create an advantage. The stagger may create a shot behind the hand off, or a pass to the roller after the hand off. The flare stretches the defense side to side, and the slip is a chance for an easy basket if the defense is sleeping.
